U of L Proposal
July 8th, 2009 by Patrick Hill

I designed this development proposal at Village Solutions recently for the University of Louisville. I tried to utilize a lot of thin lines and solid color bars to give the booklet a clean look that would allow for the charts, illustrations and photos room to really shine. I also tried new print dimensions that enabled me to self produce the booklet in small batches without the need of a printing company. To do this, I printed on 11×17 inch paper with a bleed so I could hand trim out the pages for borderless images and colors. I bound the book by taking a regular 8.5×11 inch binding coil and cutting out 2 smaller sections so I could cover the larger length of the booklet in an elegant way.
