The Printing Revolution
This is a consertina-fold book that I designed and handmade to illustrate the timeline of the printing development for a student project. I decided to make it in a way that would allow it to either be flipped through like a book or to be pulled open so the timeline could be seen in one long strip. I used wood planks and wrapped the paper around them for the front and back covers. This gave the book rigidity and heft while also giving me a way to bind and clasp the book with string.
