American Innovators Stamp Collection
This project was an exploration in stamp design that focused on creating a series based around some of the great American Innovators: Gordon Gould – the Laser, Buckminster Fuller – Geodesic Dome, Ralph Teetor – Cruise Control, and Jonas Salk – Polio Vaccine. I tried to go for a clean retro and slightly avant garde style for the design. Some of the stamps turned out better than others but I believe the overall series was very strong. I chose to take a clean approach because it allows the design to still function well within the size limitations of stamps.
